Our staff collectively have copious years of experience in performing ecological aspects of permitting at all regulatory levels (federal, state, local) for a wide variety of project types, including large scale commercial centers, office parks, subdivisions, marinas, health care facilities, stormwater and utility projects, road projects, parks, agricultural projects, and over 15 public educational facilities. Our clients include property owners, developers, civil engineers, land planners, appraisers, and government agencies.

STEINBAUM AND ASSOCIATES, INC. staff are experienced in plant identification, wildlife studies, sampling/research methods, natural systems ecology, habitat evaluations, and regulatory framework. We understand important ecological principals such as contiguity, diversity, natural habitat transitions, and sustainable cost effective development initiatives. We place emphasis on providing innovative (“out of the box”) ecologically sound strategies aimed at fulfilling project objectives. Our capabilities allow ecological aspects of a project to be addressed from pre-development conditions through design, permitting, and construction. Company vessels include a 20’ Mako powered by a 150hp Yamaha outboard with shallow water capability.

We have maintained an excellent rapport with regulatory personnel, and two key staff members have worked for regulatory agencies. We listen to our client’s needs, and use our expertise to develop and negotiate solid and cost conscientious ecological strategies in the interest of our clients’ objectives.
